PP Polypropylene reinforced with 30 weight percent ash content and long glass fibers. This impact modified copolymer has chemically coupled fibers to the polypropylene matrix. The pellets are cylindrical and the embedded fibers are typically 10 mm long. CELSTRAN parts exhibit exceptional mechanical properties, including high strength, stiffness, and heat deflection. The presence of the fiber skeleton enhances the notched impact strength at both high and low temperatures. The long fiber reinforcement significantly reduces creep, while the molded parts demonstrate very isotropic shrinkage, minimizing warpage. With high reproducibility in injection molding, it is widely used in the automotive industry for functional and structural parts.
